
ASI Traffic Taufiq Khan Delivers Lecture on Road Safety at AMU
Aligarh: A significant lecture on road safety was organized by Taufiq Khan, Assistant Sub-Inspector (Traffic Police), where he emphasized the importance of road safety and the need to follow traffic rules.

During his lecture, Taufiq Khan discussed essential measures to reduce road accidents. He highlighted that the rate of road accidents in India is alarmingly high, primarily due to non-compliance with traffic regulations.
He particularly stressed the mandatory use of helmets and seat belts, stating that their proper usage not only enhances passenger safety but also helps prevent severe accidents.
Additionally, Taufiq Khan spoke about the dangers of drunk driving and overspeeding, urging citizens to take responsibility for their own and others’ safety while traveling on the roads.
He also recommended various initiatives to spread awareness about road safety, suggesting that special programs should be organized in schools, colleges, and different institutions to educate people about traffic regulations.

In his concluding remarks, Taufiq Khan appealed to Dr. Mohammad Mohsin Khan, Tarushikha Sarvesh (Coordinator, NSS AMU), Program Officer Abdul Jabbar, NSS volunteers, and office staff to follow traffic rules and take road safety seriously to reduce accidents and ensure the safety of all citizens.
Several other officials from the Traffic Police Department were also present at the lecture and supported Taufiq Khan’s views. The program was well-coordinated by Md. Imran Khan (Program Officer), whose efforts were commendable in making the event a success.
