The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine in Aligarh hosted a vibrant celebration of Hindi Diwas
Aligarh, 14 September 2024: The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine, under the Agiles, or Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine Ministry of Ayush (Govt. of India), organized a vibrant celebration of Hindi Diwas and Hindi Pakhwara Samaroh on 14th September 2024. The event aimed to promote the importance of Hindi in various fields, especially in the academic and scientific communities.
Dr. Nazish Begum, a distinguished associate professor from the Department of Hindi at Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University, served as the Guest of Honor, and Dr. Pervez Khan, a Research Officer at the center, attended the celebration.
During her address, Dr. Nazish Begum emphasised the growing significance of Hindi in the global context. She expressed, “Hindi has transcended its status as a regional language; it has achieved international recognition.” In today’s modern era, Hindi is being integrated into various artificial intelligence tools, reflecting its progress and adaptability.” Dr. Nazish highlighted that as technology evolves, Hindi remains a preferred medium of thought for many, allowing for better understanding and expression.
She further mentioned that several countries have embraced Hindi words, with the Oxford Dictionary incorporating many Hindi terms. “Other countries not only learn this language; they also acknowledge its significance,” she added.
The event acted as a vibrant forum to explore the significance of Hindi in contemporary society, fostering its ongoing development and application across diverse fields. The event culminated in a commitment to enhance the presence of Hindi in educational and technological realms, highlighting its role as a symbol of unity and advancement.
