
Aligarh, February 18, 2025 – Research Methods in Literature: Theory, Process, and Application, authored by Dr. Nazish Begum, Associate Professor in the Hindi section at Women’s College, was officially released today at a special event at Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The book was launched by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon, in the presence of Principal Prof. Masud Anwar Alavi and renowned academician Zakia Siddiqui.

The book serves as a significant contribution to the field of literary research, providing students with innovative methods and practical tools for conducting research in literature. Dr. Begum, with her extensive academic experience, aims to help young scholars navigate the complexities of literary studies by blending theoretical frameworks with practical applications. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized that the book is designed to support students and researchers in understanding different research methodologies while analyzing literary texts within cultural, historical, and social contexts.
The launch event coincided with the Founders’ Day Programme at Women’s College, which featured Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour, Prof. Azarmi Dukht Safavi, Former Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Founder Director of the Institute of Persian Research, praised Dr. Begum’s scholarly contribution. The book, published by Bharat Publishing House, Aligarh.
Prof. Masud Anwar Alavi highlighted the importance of such academic works in shaping the research landscape and congratulated Dr. Begum on her achievement. The event concluded with an interactive session where faculty members and students discussed the book’s insights and its role in advancing literary research.
