Hindi Divas Closing Ceremony in Regional Unani Medicine Research Institute in Aligarh
Aligarh, September 30, 2024:The closing ceremony of Hindi Day and Hindi Fortnight was celebrated with great enthusiasm on September 30, 2024, at the Regional Unani Medicine Research Institute in Aligarh. The event was graced by the presence of renowned scholar Dr. Shaul Hameed from the Hindi Department of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as the chief guest. This event held immense significance in spreading awareness about the Hindi language and its importance.
The event began on September 14, 2024, with the inauguration by Mr. Kshetrapal Sharma (Regional Representative, Central Council, Government of India) as the chief guest, alongside Dr. Najish Begum from women’s College, AMU, as the guest of honor. They emphasized the importance of using Hindi in official work.
During the closing ceremony, the chief guest, Dr. Hameed, highlighted the development of Hindi and its role in India’s identity. He stated that the curriculum now includes Hindi in technical subjects such as medicine and engineering, emphasizing that our future identity will be tied to Hindi speakers. Dr. Parvez Khan, the head of the institute, also shared his thoughts on the significance of the Hindi language, underscoring the deep attachment and respect people hold for it.
The event featured various competitions such as essay writing, impromptu speeches, and calligraphy, aimed at fostering a sense of competition among officials and employees. Participants showcased their creativity and linguistic skills, captivating the audience. The competitions not only encouraged participants but also deepened their interest in the Hindi language. The winners were awarded cash prizes of ₹2000, ₹1500, ₹1000, and ₹500 for first, second, third, and consolation positions, respectively, along with certificates.
All attendees expressed their views on the importance of Hindi’s growth and preservation, making it a crucial occasion for demonstrating respect and dedication to the language.
The success of the event was attributed to the leadership of Dr. Parvez Khan, Hindi Section Head Mr. Parvez Ahmed, and key organizers of the Hindi program, including Mohammad Zahid Ansari, Anas Saleem Qazi, and Farha Khanam. Their guidance and support were instrumental in making the event a reality.
A special lunch featuring local dishes was organized for all participants and guests, providing not only a cultural experience but also a chance to highlight regional traditions through food.
